What is a Personal Right-Skilling Plan?

A personal right-skilling plan is your practical plan for learning the right soft and hard skills at the right time to secure sufficient future income for you—not for your current or future employer.

It starts with five questions:

  1. Where am I now?
  2. How do I want to earn my income in the future?
  3. Which skills do I need to get there?
  4. What will I learn, practise or stop learning—and when?
  5. How will I learn those skills fast?

Unlike a corporate right-skilling plan, it is based on your own personal goals, circumstances, health, interests and desired way of working. It may help you improve your current position, change careers, leave the corporate rat race, start a business as side-hustle or full-time and/or create several sources of income.

In short:

A personal right-skilling plan turns lifelong learning into a concrete action plan for your own future and income security.
